On Saturday, April 18,2020, Mark McGregor, a loving husband and father of 4 children, passed away at the age of 65. Mark was born June 27, 1954 in Ogden, Utah. At the age of 2 years old, him and his family moved to Sacramento, CA. After graduating high school, he went to Marconi Tech. Mark moved to Somerset, CA in 1974, where he worked at Harrold Ford in Placerville. Afterwards, Mark's specialty was construction and worked in that business for many years. He built numerous houses in El Dorado County and was an expert at finishing concrete slabs. Mark owned Pleasant Valley Auto for 6 years, 1989-1994. On December 2, 1990 he married his wife Judy, who had 3 children, and they had a 4th child together. Mark adopted the 3 children as his own and together he and Judy raised their family in Somerset, CA. Mark & Judy both worked as mail delivery contractors. Throughout Mark's life, he gold dredged in the many rivers in El Dorado County, including the Cosummes. He always said "gold is where you find it". He enjoyed the outdoors, shooting guns, and loving life. He had a passion his whole life for cars, owning many classics throughout his lifetime. A passion later in life was using his smoker and perfecting his recipes. Those baby back ribs were simply delicious. Mark always had a photogenic mind. If something didn't work he took it apart, fixed it, and re-assembled! Mark was an avid music lover and liked an amazing variety of music. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and compassionate spirit. An honest man, a loving Husband and Father, he will be missed so very much. Mark is survived by his wife Judy, his children, Julie, Christopher , Heather and Jennifer. Also his beloved Rottweiler, Winnie and Doberman, Neo.
